Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day.
Anping sights would definitely take up the whole day. Tainan is a lovely place to be with an excellent variety of history, cultural sites, temples, markets, and general fun things to do. Could definitely have stayed longer than 2 full days for a few extra day trips nearby, and to try more of the local things.

Tainan is known for local delicacies, which we found to be true. The night market is not crowded and you can buy many delicious items without waiting in line. The Chimei Museum is nearby and we enjoyed visiting it.

Tainan was awesome. There is so much to see and do! The free cultural walking trip of the Confucius Temple and other parts of Tainan was amazing (Emma was my tour guide- she was extremely knowledgeable, her English was excellent, and she was so informative). Anping area had a ton of culture, a market, Temples, and amazing food to enjoy. I also enjoyed the Garden night market (different markets are open on different days). It was busy and crowded but there were so many great vendors selling clothes, jewelry, electronics, and more. The food selection was also impeccable. I was only in Tainan for a day and a half. I would have spent a few more if I had the time!

Tainan is an underrated, if not, underappreciated city that withholds treasures of different sorts for you, the traveler, to discover. The cheap, delectable street food is not to be missed, in addition to the hot sunny days, which could be a relief if you happen to be traveling from the miserably humid city of Taipei.
That said, Tainan is best explored on bike/scooter, as many attractions are spread out with quite some distance in between. Fortunately, Tainan's government offers electric YouBikes for rental, which could ease the pedaling by quite a bit.
the staff were super friendly and the room was awesome! it was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spacious. they gave us free water, snacks, tea, coffee, etc. and the breakfast was also really yummy! it was mostly taiwanese-style options but they also had some bread/toast available if you’re looking for something slightly more western. they also have luggage storage if you want to explore more of tainan after checkout! only about a 10 minute walk to the train station so it’s very convenient
This hotel was my favorite of all my trip to Taiwan. It was the first time I visited a hostel, and for a first time, it was really great. The staff, decor, cleanliness, service and supplies were impeccable. A great location. Right outside the hotel bike stations for explore the town.
I am 1m90 and my biggest concern was space. Often, in hostels, space is limited.
The fear of not being comfortable, but the surprise of finding that the space is large and comfortable.
A 10/10 !!!!
Great little hotel in the West Central part of Tainan. Location is near lots of good food and cafes. Walking distance to points of interest (e.g., Shennong St., Confucius temple, Tainan art museums). Facilities are well kept and clean. Room was nice and clean—beds were very comfortable and shower had great pressure and plenty of hot water (which is often iffy at smaller hotels in Taiwan). Staff was friendly. Would definitely stay again.
I liked pretty much everything about the good sized room, and particularly liked the hotel bar, with a shout out to the staff, despite language barriers they went out of their way to provide sample beers to try ensuring I got what I liked. Bars are not common in Taiwan, and to find a well stocked bar with a variety of beers was great ( I did have a recommendation to stay here from a friend for this very reason).
The location of Beer Hotel is exceptional great. It is close to the center of Tainan – the canal, the shopping area, local eateries, and the "River" park – all at a reach of few minutes' walk. The staffs are extremely helpful and friendly. And do not forget how the hotel gets its name: there's a bar serving craft beers (tap and bottled) which would end your day of exploring the wonderful city of Tainan.
The hotel is located in the center of Tainan City, with a shopping mall across the street, easily accessible from Tainan Railway Station, just 10 minutes away. Polite reception staff The room is very clean and spacious, the bed is soft, and the pillows are very soft. Digital TV is easy to use, there is English, and there is a welcome message for guests displayed on the TV screen as well.
Great Hotel.
It’s situated near Tainan train station (8 minutes of walking).
The staff is very welcoming, and speaks good English (which was NOT the case when I was in Tapei).
The room is sufficiently large, clean, and with a lot of light.
A had a good view of the city from my room.
I find the price really average for the service served.
I do recommend.
1. The location is Perfect. Near any of the famous spots in downtown Tainan.
2. Usually I won't recommend having the hotel breakfast in Tainan but you must try their set #1&2 if you have the chance.
3. The room is clean, quiet and it smells good in the whole space.
Quirky charming older type hotel, in fabulous location. Very close to the 'slower older railway station', not HSR station. Excellent breakfast with many local food choices. Found the staff extremely helpful in reception. Room staff pleasant too. Recommended.
Although the breakfast wasn't included due to the COVID-19, but we are at Tainan, there are plenty of delicacies waiting for exploring. The hotel locates at the center of the old town, you can walk to most of the famous attractions within 10 minutes.
the staff was friendly, and the location is perfect as it is very close to chung kung university hospital, the bed was comfortable. The hotel is within the center of downtown tainan, I arrived late and ordered some food, it was quickly delivered.
The hotel concept is great ECO and friendly, staff are really helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is near by many famous street and night market.
if I be in Tainan again I will stay here for sure, super impressed with you all. :D

Free hot ginger tea is provoded at lobby, good to relief cold.
Reasonable price, clean and nice hotel.
They provide classic Tainan breakfast for us to choose.
Great location near Tainan train station. (just few mins by scooter)
